Eventually statue of the week number 12

January 31, 2011

These are statues which perch above the Akerselva (river Aker), in the district of Blå (pronounced blaw). The Akerselva begins in the Maridalsvannet, Oslo’s main source of drinking water, and ends in the Oslo fjord, by the opera house.  In Blå there is a craft market every Sunday, and just a sort walk across and down the Akerselva is Grunerløkka, an area with shops, bars and restaurants as well as being residential. I can’t find out anything about the statues so you’ll just have to create your own story.
